Not many pro-redfish teams have mixed martial arts schools as a sponsor. The reason I chose to team up with Gracie Tampa is because I am an avid fan of the sport. These are real athletes and I wrestled in college against some of the best fighters in the country. Gracie Tampa is owned by Rob Kahn, a black belt in jiu-jitsu under the legendary Royce Gracie. Rob is a master at his art and an outstanding trainer. He has put numerous fighters in the UFC and many other well established MMA organizations. The day I walked into the school I was amazed by how many students he had in his room. I was also amazed at how many people in the room were just everyday people from doctor’s, lawyer’s and former pro-football players.

As I became better acquainted with the trainers and students, I realized that this was the place for me. I had been in many wrestling rooms from the Olympic training center in New Orleans and few martial art schools in Virginia and there were a lot of ego’s to deal with. The Gracie Tampa instructors treat everyone with respect and they spend quality time with their students. Gracie Tampa is a serious and proven training center that welcomes the novice to the proven MMA fighter. My brother-in-law, Cody Camp, is a professional MMA fighter out of Michigan and I brought him down to Tampa to train with Rob Kahn and his students.
